SERDANG: Forty-four passengers faced anxious moments after the tour bus they were on caught fire at the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Toll Plaza, here, this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Operations Director, Hafisham Mohd Noor said the department received an emergency call on the incident at 6.19am.
"The tour bus from Johor Baru was headed to Kuala Lumpur and was completely razed.
"However, a total of 44 passengers and the bus driver managed to save themselves," he said in a statement today.
He said the fire also caused 10 per cent of the toll booth roof to be damaged.
"The fire was extinguished about half an hour later. The cause of the fire is still under investigation," he said.
