KUALA LUMPUR: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan expressed his condolences yesterday to the family of Corporal Mohammad Nasri Mohd Nasib, whose body was found in the Belum Forest Reserve after he was reported missing while on duty last Friday.
In a Facebook post, Mohamad also offered his condolences to Nasri's wife, Nurhayatul Husna Abdul Muttalib.
"My heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in peace, Amin," he said.
Mohamad also thanked the Armed Forces for their assistance in bringing Nasri's body back.
Nasri, 33, was a member of Battalion 35 of the Royal Malay Regiment camp in Sri Bentong, Pahang.
He was found dead at 10.15am yesterday by a search and rescue team that had been dispatched after receiving a report that he had gone missing while carrying out an operation in the Belum Forest Reserve with five others. — BERNAMA
