Expressing his condolences to Ku Adib's family, he said: "We hope they find strength in facing the challenges and trials that have befallen them."

He also said that Ku Adib was a recipient of a loan from Yayasan Selangor and promised to refer the matter to the foundation for further assistance.

He was accompanied by New Straits Times Press group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and representatives from UiTM Dungun's student affairs office.

During the visit, Amirudin presented a donation to the grieving family.

The tragic incident occurred yesterday when a Honda CRV, driven by a 49-year-old woman believed to be mentally ill, crashed into two motorcycles at 7.20pm, resulting in the deaths of three UiTM Dungun students and leaving another severely injured.

The driver has been remanded for four days starting today.

Their friend, Mohd Ammar Danish Mohd Rodhuan, 20, who sustained severe injuries, is currently being treated at Dungun Hospital and will be transferred to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Kuala Terengganu for further care.

Ku Adib was laid to rest at Raudhatul A'liyah Saujana Utama Islamic Cemetery. Khairil Anuar's remains were buried at Ukay Perdana Islamic Cemetery, while Mohd Akhmal was laid to rest in Muar, Johor.\
