Cops to quiz Pas rep over fake Teresa Kok poster

KUALA LUMPUR: Police will record a statement from Kubu Gajah assemblyman Khalil Yahaya over his sharing of a fake poster stating that Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok as Felda chairman.

Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the Pas politician had been told to present himself at the Taiping police headquarters on Tuesday.

"The appointment has been set for Khalil's statement to be recorded at 10am in Taiping," he told Harian Metro.

It was reported yesterday that police had received a report from Kok over the poster on Thursday.

At that time, Amihizam had said Kok discovered that the poster had gone viral on social media sites while she was in her office in the Desa Business Park in Jalan Kuchai Maju.

He had added that investigations had shown that the poster had been posted on Khalil's Facebook page.

The case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1988.
