SHAH ALAM: Search operations at the Elmina air crash site are nearly complete.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain at a press conference this morning said that the search operations is 95 per cent complete with all 10 remains of the victims recovered.
"The search operations is almost complete and we are in the final stages of sweeping the area for any residual human remains.
"All of the remains that we have found are sent to Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang for post-mortem."
He also that currently 22 next-of-kin had come forward to have their DNA samples taken for victim identification.
Razarudin added that the final count of the victims can only be ascertained when all the DNA identification tests are done.
Yesterday, the six-seater Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) bearing the registration number N28JV had crashed near Elmina, Shah Alam during its approach into Subang Airport from Langkawi.
The crash had killed all eight people onboard and two road users in the incident.
