Felcra collaborates with MACC to raise awareness on integrity

KUALA LUMPUR: In collaboration with the Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) branch, Felcra Bhd has organised 'Integrity Strengthening' programme, aimed at enhancing ongoing efforts on graft prevention and education.

With the involvement of 70 participants from Felcra's board of directors and top management, the programme is also aimed to ensure a sustainable business environment in a corruption-free environment.

"Felcra is always committed to conducting business activities that are free from any form of corruption, including leakages of public funds, as well as procurement.

"The programme is also supported with a dialogue session by MACC senior officer Asruln'naim Abdullah on corruption offences under the MACC Act 2009 and Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009, while a tax deduction session was given by the community education branch chief Zairinhani Zulkifly.

"The dialogue session also emphasised several issues leading to corruption and integrity violations, aside from providing examples of past cases charged under the MACC Act 2009," it said in a statement today.

Also present during the programme were Felcra chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, chief executive officer Datuk Mat Roni Zakaria, Kuala Lumpur MACC deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Razali Khamis and Ministry of Finance's deputy budget director Nor Azizati Hamzah.

At the same time, Kuala Lumpur MACC director Datuk Ahmad Fauzi Husin reminded the board of directors and top management of Felcra to steer clear of corrupt practices to ensure good governance.

"The programme is a good platform for Felcra to share and raise questions relating to corruption and how to prevent such practices from occurring in the organisation."
