Cameron Highlands picked as one of top 51 most beautiful places in the world

KUALA LUMPUR: Cameron Highlands has secured a prestigious position among the top 51 most beautiful places globally in a recent accolade by Condé Nast Traveler, a leading luxury and lifestyle travel magazine.

The magazine depicted the location by stating "It's hard to pick just one beautiful spot in geographically diverse Malaysia, but Cameron Highlands might be the winner.

"Located in the state of Pahang, the 275-square-mile region is home to the largest tea plantations in the country—a place of fuzzy green hills rolling into the distance, where you can also explore butterfly gardens and strawberry farms."

The list by Condé Nast Traveler encompassed an array of renowned locations, including The Amazon, Angel Falls in Venezuela, Antarctica, Japan's Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Chile's Atacama Desert, Boulders Beach in South Africa, and several other destinations.

Cameron Highlands has long captivated visitors with its cool climate, rolling hills blanketed in emerald tea plantations, vibrant flower gardens, and refreshing strawberry farms.

Its panoramic views, coupled with a rich tapestry of biodiversity, have made it a magnet for both local and international travellers seeking an escape into nature's splendour.

The popular hill station in Malaysia has always been one of the favourite family holiday destinations, with its farmlands and nurseries, museum and tea centres, golf course and nature.

It also has all-year-round cool spring-like weather, thanks to the elevation ranging from 800m to 1603m from sea level.

Beyond the typical attractions, Cameron Highlands also offers a myriad of distinctive attractions.

Visitors can experience the adventure of hiking through the enchanting Mossy Forest or immerse themselves in the allure of its picturesque English-style bungalows.
