KUALA LUMPUR: A fire broke out earlier today at Jalan Perusahaan 2, Kawasan Perusahaan in Batu Caves, affecting three factories.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department's operations centre confirmed that an emergency call was received at 11.49am, reporting a blaze at a paint factory.
"The intensity of the fire resulted in 90 per cent of the Class A building being consumed by flames. Additionally, spare parts and packaging factories reported 20 per cent of damage each.
"At 1.07pm, the latest updates reported a positive development, signalling that the fire has been successfully brought under control," said the PGO in a statement.
However, a man in his 50s was reported with burn injuries to the hand and received immediate medical attention.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
