KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today refused to entertain the latest outburst by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad accusing the former as an expert in political manoeuvring and forming backdoor governments.
The Prime Minister instead advised Dr Mahathir to take care of his health.
"Tidak apalah (It is okay). Please look after your health," Anwar briefly told reporters after attending a two-day long discourse to country's higher education strategy here today.
Earlier today, Dr Mahathir, in a social media posting on his Facebook, denied any involvement in the alleged "Dubai Move", which were talks allegedly held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between opposition leaders and certain government representatives to replace the unity administration.
The former Langkawi member of Parliament instead accused Anwar as an expert in political manoeuvring and in the forming of backdoor governments, citing an incident on Sept 16 in 2008 as well as "the Kajang Move" in 2014.
The "Dubai Move" attempt came to light after the matter was revealed by Community Communications Department (J-KOM) deputy director (community communications) Datuk Ismail Yusop.
Ismail claimed such an attempt surfaced during the recent vacation of leaders from Perikatan Nasional (PN), including government officials, in the capital city of the UAE.
