KUALA LUMPUR - Scalpers have seemingly stockpiled Khairul Aming's newly launched Dendeng Nyet Berapi, reselling it twice the original price.
Some sellers are marketing the dendeng meat at around RM29 per packet on platforms like Shopee and Facebook groups, marking a significant hike from the initial price of RM14.90.
However, checks by the New Straits Times revealed that the product, promoted on Shopee, is marked as unlisted with zero sales.
One seller on Shopee insisted: "THIS PRODUCT IS ORIGINAL. We will order directly from Khairuaming to be sent directly to you from Khairuaming," in the product description.
Meanwhile, a seller on Facebook deleted her post amid a public backlash against her scalping activities.
Yesterday, entrepreneur and influencer Khairul Aming made history when his second product, Dendeng Nyet Berapi, launched on the TikTok Shop platform and hit RM1.2 million in sales within minutes.
Khairul, or his real name, Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, 32, announced the news on an Instagram post stating that as many as 80,000 packs of his dendeng meat were snapped by buyers within only three minutes and 39 seconds.
This achievement is said to be a new record in the history of TikTok Shop as an online shopping platform in Malaysia.
Khairul's live broadcast session also made new history when it garnered more than 3.3 million views.
