KOTA BARU: Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (Kada) has called on the public to refrain from speculations regarding the arrest of its four senior officers by the state Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) recently.
Its chairman Muhammad Husain said any speculation that arises may affect MACC's investigation into the case.
He said it also would disturb Kada's operations and services especially to farmers.
"Kada will leave it fully to MACC to carry out their investigation into this case," he said in a statement today.
The State MACC today obtained a four-day remand order and three-day extension against four senior officers of Kada for allegedly making false claims and receiving bribes.
The four who were arrested by MACC separately on Apr 30 and last night, were remanded at the Kota Baru Sessions court here.
Three of them have been remanded for four days beginning today while the other officer had his remand order extended for another three days beginning tomorrow.
