Perlis MB says state on right track to become a smart city by 2030

KANGAR: Perlis is on the right track in realising the state government's plan towards becoming a smart city by 2030.

Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli said in pursuing the plan, various digitalisation projects, including a more efficient and flexible parking payment system, will be implemented.

"We are heading towards the 2030 smart city goal, and this initiative will be continued with various digitalisation projects.

"I am also confident that with the plan and close cooperation among various parties, we will also ensure that the state is more vibrant and skilled in facing the challenges of the Visit Perlis Year 2024 and the years ahead," he told a press conference today.

Shukri also urged the Kangar Municipal Council (MPKPs) to continue playing a crucial role in ensuring Perlis continues to develop with beautiful landscapes, maintained cleanliness, and efficient management.

"We want MPKPs to continue playing a crucial role in ensuring the beauty of the landscape and cleanliness of the state are maintained.

"These efforts are also in line with preparations for the Silver Jubilee of the Reign of Raja Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail in 2025," he said.
