JOHOR BARU: The Johor Health Department has taken measures to prevent the recurrence of incidents, such as the loss of a medical leave certificate at Tangkak Hospital.
Johor Health director Dr Mohtar Pungut @ Ahmad said a police report had been lodged to prevent the misuse of the missing medical leave certificate.
"We are aware of the issue circulating on social media and in the news regarding the missing medical leave certificate from Tangkak Hospital.
"We confirm the loss of the medical leave certificate with serial number HTGKF 896400 at Tangkak Hospital and a police report has been filed.
"The hospital management is conducting an investigation into this incident and follow-up actions are being carried out according to Treasury instructions.
"In response to this incident, immediate improvement measures have been implemented to ensure this does not happen again."
Dr Mohtar advised the public to report to the state Health Department if they received a medical leave certificate with the said serial number.
On Thursday, Tangkak Hospital posted a notice on its Facebook page regarding the loss of the hospital's medical leave certificate.
