JOHOR BAHRU: Johor health department has taken immediate measures to prevent the recurrence of incidents such as the recent loss of a medical leave certificate at Tangkak Hospital.
Johor health director, Dr Mohtar Pungut @ Ahmad, said a police report has been lodged to prevent the misuse of the missing medical leave certificate by irresponsible parties.
"We are aware of the issue circulating on social media and in the news regarding the missing medical leave certificate from Tangkak Hospital.
"We confirm the loss of the medical leave certificate with serial number HTGKF 896400 at Tangkak Hospital and a police report has been filed to prevent misuse of this certificate by irresponsible parties.
"The hospital management is currently conducting an investigation into this incident and follow-up actions are being carried out according to treasury instructions.
"In response to this incident, immediate improvement measures have been implemented to ensure such occurrences do not happen again," he said when contacted today.
Dr Mohtar advised the public to report to the state health department if they receive a medical leave certificate with the mentioned serial number.
On Thursday, Tangkak Hospital posted a notice on its official Facebook page regarding the loss of the hospital's medical leave certificate.
