KUALA LUMPUR: Repair works on a pipe burst in Shah Alam, which resulted in a water supply disruption in 28 areas across three districts in Selangor since yesterday, have been completed.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), in a statement today, said the repair works on the pipe at Jalan Budiman in Section 22, Shah Alam was completed at 5:30am today.
"Water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages when the repair works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.
"Water supply is expected to fully recover at 6.00 am on May 28 (Tuesday).
"The duration of water supply recovery period differs depending on the location of the consumer's premises and the water pressure at the distribution system," the statement said.
Air Selangor said it would continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics and dialysis centres and funerals during the unscheduled water supply disruption.
"Air Selangor will provide updates progressively from time to time through all mediums, especially the mass media.
"Consumers can refer to all our official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and X or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 or visit www.airselangor.com."
in Klang, Shah Alam, and Petaling districts experienced water supply disruptions following emergency repair works on the burst pipe.
The issue resulted areas in the three districts in the state experiencing unscheduled water supply disruptions.
These areas included Bandar Putra Heights; Section 28; Kampung Bukit Lanchong; Section 32 (Bukit Naga, Bukit Rimau, Jalan Bukit Rimau, Taman Desa Kemuning); Pinggiran Subang USJ 3; Section 22 (Kampung Kebun Bunga); Section 25 (Axis, Lembayung); Section 33; Section 26; Section 27; Section 34; Taman Sentosa and Taman Subang Mas.
Other affected areas include Taman Pinggiran USJ (Pinggiran USJ 1 & 2; Pinggiran USJ 3); Taman Perindustrian UEP - TP 7; USJ 3A; USJ 3B; USJ 3C; USJ 3D; and USJ Heights.
