PUTRAJAYA: The full report of the Lumut helicopter crash will be released tomorrow, said Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
In a press conference, Fahmi said the matter was confirmed by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin in the Cabinet meeting, today.
"The minister (Khaled) has informed us (the Cabinet) on the status of the full report of the Lumut helicopter crash which has been completed, and it will be published tomorrow.
"Hence, please wait for the announcement which will be published tomorrow," he said.
Last week, Khaled reportedly said the final report on the tragic crash involving two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) helicopters, which claimed the lives of 10 officers and personnel in Lumut, Perak, is expected to be released by this week.
Khaled said his team was also finalising the comprehensive report on the crash.
On April 23, two helicopters, an AgustaWestland AW139 HOM and a Eurocopter Fennec collided during a mid-air manoeuvre during a flypast training for the Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN) 90th anniversary celebrations.
There were no survivors in the tragedy.
Meanwhile, RMN, in its preliminary report on May 9 revealed that the two helicopters were airworthy.
