KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press took home two awards at the 2023-2024 Agrobank Media Awards tonight.
New Straits Times journalist Hana Naz Harun secured second place in the Science and Agriculture Technology category for her article, "The problem with local padi".
Meanwhile, Berita Harian journalist Suzalina Halid won the Printed and Portal Media Award (Best News) for her reports on "Syor naikkan harga siling BPT" and "Kilang besar monopoli pembelian padi."
Both journalists received a RM3,000 cash prize and a trophy.
This marks the first time Agrobank has hosted a media award night in collaboration with the Malaysian Press Institute.
Present were NSTP group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and Agrobank president and chief executive officer Datuk Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin.
The event was attended by more than 200 media practitioners.
