KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain on Tuesday met with the three police officers who are survivors of the last month's attack on the Ulu Tiram police station.
In a posting made on his TikTok account, Razarudin also extended his appreciation towards the officers, during the meeting that took place at the Bukit Aman police headquarters.
"Alhamdulillah, I had the pleasure of meeting three police officers involved in the Ulu Tiram police station attack, last month.
"The three brave officers were Corporal Mohd Hasif Roslan, Lance Corporal Mohamed Aznel Mat Salleh and Constable Mohd Khairul Azhar Abibi Paisa.
"My highest appreciation and thanks to these heroes and all those who serve tirelessly to protect Malaysians. Congratulations and well done!" he said in the post.
Razarudin, at the same time, also conveyed his condolences to the victims of the attack.
"May their souls be showered with the mercy of Allah SWT."
On May 17, a 21-year-old man stormed into the Ulu Tiram police station at 2.54am, killing two police officers; Constable Ahmad Azza Fahmi Azhar, 22, and Constable Muhamad Syafiq Ahmad Said, 24.
Another police officer, Mohd Hanif, was critically injured. The attacker was later shot dead.
