KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that one of its flights experienced engine issues following take-off.
In a statement on Thursday, Malaysia Airlines confirmed that flight MH199 from Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur on June 20 returned to Hyderabad due to an issue with one of its engines during the climb after take-off.
"The aircraft safely landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 3:21 am local time, and all passengers and crew disembarked safely."
"Affected passengers will be reallocated to other flights for their continued journey," it said, adding that the aircraft is currently grounded for further inspection.
It stated that safety remains of utmost importance to Malaysia Airlines.
