Severely injured Media Prima executive dies, after three-vehicle NSE crash

JOHOR BARU: A Media Prima Bhd (MPB) advertising executive succumbed to her injuries at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital's Intensive Care Unit today.

Nurakma Mohd Kalimuddin, 37, who was in an induced coma after suffering severe brain injuries in a three-vehicle crash last night, died without regaining consciousness at 12.30pm.

She was among the five other victims who sustained injuries in an accident involving a lorry and two cars at Km36.6 of the North-South Expressway, in Kulai, yesterday.

Earlier, doctors at the hospital terminated her six-month pregnancy in an attempt to save her life.

She was behind the wheels of her Honda BR-V, with her husband her husband Abdul Rahman Oyub, 40, and their two sons, when a southbound lorry crashed the highway barriers and collided head-on with her sport utility vehicle, while they were heading north, towards Kuala Lumpur.
