Police seek witnesses to clash among foreign construction workers in Sedenak

KULAI: A group of men in construction safety vests were captured in a physical altercation at a construction site in Sedenak, here, yesterday.

Police were made aware of the incident after a 28-second footage of the brawl was uploaded on #UpdateInfo X and went viral.

The men, believed to be foreign workers, were captured running after a few men who were also construction workers. They used their helmets as weapons and swung them at one another.

District police chief Superintendent Tan Seng Lee said there were no police reports lodged by any parties; however, an investigation for rioting under Section 148 of the Penal Code has been opened.

He said efforts to identify the culprits involved are underway.

He called for witnesses to come forward and contact the nearest police station or the Kulai district police headquarters' operations room at 07-6632222 to assist in the investigation.
