Kota Baru cosmetics trader divorced during TikTok live stream

KOTA BARU: An online cosmetics trader was left in shock when her ex-husband divorced her with 'talak satu' while she was live streaming on TikTok.

Nur Hazwani Mustapha, 37, recounted how, during her livestream at her home in Pasir Tumboh last Wednesday, her ex-husband, who is in his 40s, arrived and began scolding her.

"We argued, and amidst the provocation, he pronounced the talak," she said.

Nur Hazwani said her husband had secretly married another woman over three months ago, suspected to be in Thailand, without her knowledge.

"Initially, I tried to accept the 'co-wife,' but their constant mocking and provocation made it impossible.

"My husband seemed to love his second wife more than me, causing my feelings for him to sour," she said.

A video of the live stream on TikTok, where Nur Hazwani was divorced, went viral, drawing various reactions from the public.

The mother of four said she and her husband had been married for ten years and had two children, aged four and seven.

"I even quit my job as a local authority enforcement officer to be with my husband and care for our family.

"I endured hardships with him in the early years of our marriage, only for this to be my reward after a decade together.

"Even though I was divorced in front of 3,000 live viewers, I accept it and am determined to move forward with my children," she said.

Feeling relieved after the divorce, Nur Hazwani now focuses on her online cosmetics business.

The separation was a blessing in disguise, as her customer base has grown and she has gained more recognition.

"People can say what they want, but they haven't walked in my shoes. I hope the public will pray for good things for me and my children."
