SEREMBAN: A mother was shocked to find her daughter missing from her bedroom at their home in Taman College Heights, Sikamat, when she went to wake the teenager up for school yesterday morning.
Nor Akmar Hariri, 43, said her daughter, Nur Farah Diana Mohd Erwadi was found missing, along with her mobile phone, school bag, and makeup kit.
Farah, 17, is a Form Five student at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Ampuan Durah.
She is the second child of three siblings.
Nor Akmar said she realised that her daughter was gone about 7am yesterday, after last seeing the teenager between midnight and 1am earlier.
"I realised that my daughter was missing along with her personal belongings when I went to wake her up for school yesterday morning.
"The last location signal from her mobile phone only showed that it was at home," she said when contacted today.
Nor Akmar said she filed a report at the Sikamat police station yesterday and is asking anyone with information about Farah's whereabouts to contact 012-2225787.
"I ask Farah to please come back because we are worried about her safety. Please get in touch with us immediately.
"I have also asked her school friends, but no one knows anything. I urge the public to help if they know or have seen Farah," she said.
Meanwhile, district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din, confirmed receiving a report on the missing teenager and said attempts were being made to locate her.
