"This is to ensure smooth running and avoid any unwanted incidents, especially concerning the public's safety throughout the by-election period," he said in a statement today.

Zaki reminded all quarters the use and operations of drones in the country are subject to Section 4 of the Civil Aviation Act 1969, Regulations 98 and 104-144 of Civil Aviation Regulations; and Civil Aviation Directives.

He added that Jalan Persiaran Raya will be closed tomorrow for nomination day.

The road closure, he said, would be in effect from 7 am until noon, starting from the Persimpangan Mahkota traffic light to the Persimpangan Bendahara traffic light, covering the route from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru.

"This is to enable the nomination process for the by-election to go smoothly," he said.

He reminded motorists to adhere to instructions to facilitate traffic flow.
