KAJANG: One more Kampung Pasir, Semenyih, armed robbery suspect surrendered himself at the district police headquarters here today, bringing the total number of arrests to four.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the fourth suspect, however, is a civilian.
He said in addition to the first two suspects that were remanded earlier, the third suspect also from General Operations Force Battalion 19 in Cheras and the civilian have also been remanded today at the Kajang Magistrate Court today.
"Court granted seven days remand for both suspects to facilitate the police investigations until Aug 8," he said.
Earlier, it was reported that at 12.17am on Wednesday, six armed robbers broke into a house on Jalan Sungai Pening, escaping with cash and jewellery.
They had allegedly fired shots when they noticed a witness tailing them after the robbery.
Kajang district Criminal Investigation Department arrested two suspects, aged 32 and 35, at 12.20am at the GOF Battalion 19 for alleged involvement in an armed robbery.
Police investigations are ongoing to track down another two suspects on the run.
