Foreign Ministry urges Malaysians in UK to stay away from protest areas

KUALA LUMPUR: The Foreign Ministry has advised Malaysians residing or travelling to the United Kingdom to stay away from protest areas in several areas of the UK.

In a statement today, the ministry said the Malaysian High Commission in London is closely monitoring the series of protests currently taking place in several areas of the UK following the stabbing incident in Southport on July 29.

The statement also urged Malaysians to remain vigilant and follow the latest updates from the local authorities.

"Malaysians who have yet to register with the Malaysian High Commission in London are strongly encouraged to do so immediately to ensure they receive timely information and assistance.
