ALOR STAR: The mother of Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor died today at the age of 74.
Sanusi's press secretary Muhamad Mat Yakim said Meriam Ahmad died around 9.40am today at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) in Alor Star.
He said there are no further details regarding the matter for now.
It is understood the funeral prayer will take place this evening at Masjid Sungai Pau in Sik.
It was reported that Meriam was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at HSB after a heart attack.
