PASIR GUDANG: The husband of murdered teacher Istiqomah Ahmad Rozi said he couldn't bear to see the condition of his wife's remains.
"Perhaps, she also wouldn't want me to see her in that state.
"As her husband, I accept this and sincerely let her go, hoping she will be a martyr (shahid), bidadari syurgaku," said Mohd Yusof Mokhtar, 35, Istiqomah's husband.
He said after nearly eight months of looking for her, she is finally found, but not in the way he expected. However, he has accepted God's will and would go to the hospital to claim her remains.

The 33-year-old teacher was reported missing on Dec 26. A decapitated body of a woman was found 11 days later in a rubbish bin in Kampung Tanjung Rimau Luar, Pulau Sebang in Melaka.
On Aug 12, Alor Gajah police chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah confirmed that the headless, dismembered body found on Dec 31 was that of Istiqomah.
Her mother, Saliha Ya, 58, said they were informed by the police that Istiqomah's body could be claimed from the hospital's forensic unit at 2pm today.
The family left their Pasir Gudang home in two vehicles, with the victim's husband, Yusof, and their three children aged 4, 6, and 9, in one car, and her parents and relatives in another car.
Earlier today, a former teacher was charged with the murder of Istiqomah.
Foreign currency trader Mohd Fadzly Ariffadzilah was charged with her murder at the Alor Gajah magistrate's court.
As soon as the charges were read and explained by an interpreter before magistrate Dr Teoh Shu Yee at 10.45am, the accused, 36, said he understood the charges against him.
No plea was recorded as the murder case is under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
According to the charge sheet, the accused is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code with the murder of Istiqomah on the side of the road in Kampung Tanjung Rimau Luar, Pulau Sebang here, between Dec 26 and Dec 31 last year.
