PUTRAJAYA: The government has launched the Ihsan Madani portal, which is a platform for the public to quickly and easily access and identify various government programmes and initiatives aimed at alleviating the cost of living.
The initiative by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry, led by its minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, was launched earlier this evening by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Based on the fact sheet provided to the media, the portal would help users identify programmes and initiatives that they qualify for based on the information they have entered in the basic information section.
They would be able to explore various initiatives which cover health, food, income, education, transport and housing, among others.
Initiatives requiring an application will feature an 'apply here' link or a link in the frequently asked questions section.
By clicking these links, users will be directed to the relevant ministry, department, or agency's official website to apply or get more information.
The portal can be accessed on all mobile devices that support web browsers, and can be also be downloaded as an application through the Google Play store, Apple App store and Huawei AppGallery.
It does not store information shared by users, either in its own database or in government databases. The data provided is solely used to determine suitable initiatives for the user.
Information entered on the portal is general and does not include personal details.
