Wisma Putra's Skuad Ihsan Madani mobilised for post-flood recovery mission

PUTRAJAYA: The Foreign Ministry (KLN) has deployed the Skuad Ihsan Madani KLN on Sunday to support post-flood recovery efforts in affected areas.

The ministry, in a statement today, said the launching ceremony was officiated by its secretary-general Datuk Seri Amran Mohamed Zin.

"Skuad Ihsan Madani KLN, comprising 60 personnel from the ministry, was formed in response to the directive by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, to mobilise the Skuad Ihsan Madani Civil Servant Volunteer Team for post-flood management," the statement read.

The team will focus on cleaning and repainting public buildings and infrastructure damaged by the floods, in collaboration with the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), the Tumpat District Education Office, and the Pasir Mas District Council.

"This initiative underscores the commitment of civil servants in addressing disaster recovery and community support," it added.

The ministry hopes that this initiative will not only aid flood victims in rebuilding their lives but also foster solidarity between the community and civil servants, reflecting the spirit of mutual support and resilience in times of need.
