Doctors cancel ICU transfer of Kedah football legend Faridzuan

LANGKAWI: Doctors at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) in Alor Star today have cancelled plans to transfer former Kedah footballer Faridzuan Che Hamid, 53, to the intensive care unit.

Faridzuan, a star player in the Kedah squad in the 1990s, has been hospitalised since Wednesday for intestinal issues.

as reported yesterday.

"This morning, the doctor informed us that the plan to move him (Faridzuan) to the ICU today for stronger medication has been cancelled due to concerns that it may cause more serious complications to his intestines.

"They said they would monitor his condition for two to three days. Hopefully, he will recover and not require ICU admission," she said.

Rohani said several tubes attached to her husband were removed this morning, leaving only those needed for feeding and medication.
