PENAMPANG: The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has brought more than a million heavily discounted books to Sabah.
The sale at the International Technology and Commercial Centre here runs from Aug 29 to Sept 9, 10am to 10pm.
The event is dubbed 'The Great Kinabalu Comeback Sale' as the last edition was in 2019.
Big Bad Wolf Books regional events head Liew San Ling said people's attitudes on consumption of goods, including books, have changed significantly since the Covid-19 pandemic.
"At the time, everyone turned to e-commerce. We couldn't hold events. So, those two years were very challenging for us.
"Now, we are slowly returning to events. Slowly but surely, people are returning to our events.
"Our mission is to make affordable, high-quality books accessible to everyone.
"We are excited to once again connect booklovers with their favourite titles at incredible prices," he said at the opening of the 12-day event today.
In a collaboration with the Sabah State Library, library members get a five per cent discount at the book sale.
Present to launch the event was Sabah State Library director Fatimah Abdillah.
