No tiger in Puncak Alam, viral video from Kelantan

KUALA SELANGOR: The Selangor Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) has urged the public not to spread unverified information regarding the recent alleged sighting of a tiger in Bandar Puncak Alam.

Its director, Wan Mohd Adib Wan Mohd Yusoh, said the reminder was issued to prevent confusion and fear among the community.

"The video of the wild animal that went viral on social media was actually recorded in Kuala Betis, Kelantan. Action was already taken by Perhilitan Kelantan on Aug 21," he said.

Adib advised the public who encounter wild animals, particularly tigers, not to intervene.

"Keep your distance, move to a safer location, and report it to Perhilitan for further action," he added.

Earlier, a 34-second video was circulated on Facebook, showing a driver recording the movements of a tiger. To date, the video has been shared more than 468 times.
