KOTA KINABALU: A man was killed when the vehicle he was driving skidded and overturned along Jalan Tuaran, near Bandar Sierra, Manggatal, here earlier this afternoon (Aug 30).
Richard Linasin, 50, was pronounced dead by medical personnel at the scene due to severe injuries.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations centre officer assistant fire superintendent Riki Mohan Singh Ramday said they was alerted to the incident at 3.30pm.
"Upon arriving at the scene, firemen found that a van had skidded and overturned by the side of the road.
"The victim was trapped inside the van, and a team of firemen used special equipment to extricate him.
"His remains were handed over to police and the operation concluded at 5.30pm."
