'Don't Chase Customers, Chase Fans': REV Media Group's Exploding Content returns

PETALING JAYA: REV Media Group's annual marketing event Exploding Content returns this year with the theme 'Don't Chase Customers, Chase Fans'.

The event at Sri Pentas, Damansara Utama, will run from Sept 3 to 6.

The eighth edition of the event will include presentations and breakout sessions where inquisitive clients can learn about what is on offer.

Booths manned by household names such as SAYS, OHBULAN!, and ViralCham will be available for attendees to interact with.

These popular platforms are among the many brands under REV Media Group that can organically convert audiences to long-term fans.

"At REV Media Group, we engage with more than 12 million users on a monthly basis.

"We let clients access our brands to engage their users through sponsored articles, videos, short stories and things like that," said REV Media Group chief executive officer Samuel Wee.

On this year's theme, Wee said he believed customers should be more than just aware of the brands they consume.

"We want people to become loyal to the brands. We want them to become advocates."

In a presentation, the company showcased its success stories, such as increasing telco RedONE's website traffic by 54 per cent through attracting organic reach.

"A lot of times when we create organic reach, that means no (artificial) boosting is required.

"We put content out there for the client and, all of a sudden, it goes viral," Wee said.
