City Hall cracks down on foreign-run stalls in Jalan TAR

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) conducted an operation targeting illegal foreign-run stalls in the areas of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Haji Taib and Jalan Raja Alang on Friday (Sept 6).

The operation was conducted in collaboration with various departments including the Enforcement Department, Licensing and Business Development Department, Bukit Bintang Branch Office, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, and the police.

The special operation led by DBKL resulted in the seizure of goods and the relocation of obstructions.

A total of 12 cases involving the seizure of items and removal of illegal vendors were reported, and three compound notices were issued under the UUK 3(1) provision of the Hawker Licencing By-Laws (WPKL) 2016 for conducting business without a valid licence.

Among the seized items were clothing, wheeled stalls, clothes racks, umbrellas, and various other equipment.

The confiscated goods and equipment have been transported to the DBKL Seizure Store located at Jalan Lombong, Taman Miharja Cheras for documentation and further action.
