Over 30 injured after express bus crashes into road divider on Plus Expressway [WATCH]

IPOH: More than 30 people were injured when an express bus they were travelling in crashed into a road divider at KM273.4 of North-South Expressway (northbound), near Gunung Lang, early today.

Ipoh Fire and Rescue station chief Azman Hussin said three passengers, including two women, were injured after being trapped in their seats during the incident.

Azman said the other passengers including the bus driver only suffered minor injuries and managed to exit the vehicle on their own.

He said a 17-member team from the Ipoh and Simpang Pulai Fire and Rescue stations were deployed to the scene after they were alerted of the accident at 1.10am today.

"The three passengers trapped in the bus were handed over to the medical team for treatment after being extricated by the rescue team." he said, adding that the operation to rescue the passengers ended at 2.45am.
