KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia wants the police to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into allegations of child abuse and crimes linked to Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings (GISBH) charity homes.
In a statement on his Facebook page, His Majesty said he was concerned following multiple media reports on the issue.
"Matters of Islamic faith must always be protected and cannot be taken lightly. I urge everyone to avoid extreme statements on sensitive religious issues, which must be handled with care.
"I want a full investigation and swift action," His Majesty said.
