KUALA LUMPUR: A BMW I8 was fully destroyed in a fire near the Sri Petaling LRT station along the Shah Alam Highway (Kesas) today.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said the driver escaped unscathed and the fire was fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire, it said, is currently under being investigated by the forensic unit.
"The Kuala Lumpur Operations Centre received an emergency call regarding a vehicle fire at 12.17pm, after which a fire engine from the Bukit Jalil Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.
"The fire was successfully brought under control by 12.29pm. The vehicle was 100 per cent destroyed," it said.
