KUALA LUMPUR: The parents of the 13-year-old girl who fell to her death from a school building here on Tuesday said they have never pressured her academically.
The parents, in an interview with China Press, said the girl, the third among four children, was cheerful and well liked by friend and relatives.
"Our family doesn't have financial problems, and we never placed academic pressure on our daughter.
"We can't rule out the possibility that other issues may have been troubling her."
The father, meanwhile, expressed his sorrow over his daughter's death in a post on Facebook.
He said that since her death, he had been unable to sleep and that every time he closed his eyes, he thought about their times together.
The mother, meanwhile, said the public shouldn't speculate on the cause of her daughter's death.
The girl's wake was held at Nirvana Memorial Park in Sungai Besi today (Oct 3).
