SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government hoped that the 2025 Budget would enhance the electrical and electronics sector, flood mitigation projects, gentrification and logistics within the state.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said an injection in the upcoming budget will support his administration's aggressive steps to advance industries like semiconductors.
"We have steps that are very aggressive for the semiconductor field as an example.
"So we hope there are larger incentives (for the industry).
"Selangor has also listed out important projects, such as flood mitigation projects, connected to the Sungai Langat, from Hulu Langat district up to Sepang.
"So far, phase one has been completed. Phase two is ongoing and we need certain improvements," he said in a press conference, following a raid in Seksyen 25, Taman Sri Muda, here today.
Amirudin said plans for the rejuvenation and regeneration of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS) Airport in Subang are also in the pipeline, which he believes will contribute to the state's development.
"(We also hope for) certain funds to upgrade federal roads such as Jalan Port Klang, Meru and others, which have long been primary complaints from long ago," he said.
Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the upcoming budget, to be tabled in the parliament on Oct 18, is aimed at improving the living standards of the people and promoting the country's development.
