Double tragedy: Father and son found dead after stabbing incident

KUALA PILAH: A retired teacher was fatally stabbed by his own son at a house near Kampung Senaling this afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 4.40pm when the 65-year-old man was attempting to persuade his son, who also holds a mental disability card, and allegedly wanted to commit suicide.

The 32-year-old suspect, who left the scene after the incident in a car, was later found lying by the roadside near Pekan Senaling and was pronounced dead.

Kuala Pilah District Police Chief Superintendent Amran Mohd Ghani stated that they received information about a man who had died from stab wounds inflicted by his son.

"Investigations revealed that the victim was a retired teacher, and at the time of the incident, his wife was also present in the house.

"An examination of the deceased revealed a stab wound on his back, and he was confirmed dead at the scene by medical officers.

"The sharp weapon believed to have been used in this incident was also found in the house, while the suspect fled in a vehicle," he said.

Amran noted that the suspect was subsequently located and found lying by the roadside with foam at his mouth; examination revealed that he had already died.

"The motive for the incident is believed to be that the suspect was experiencing hallucinations and attempted suicide. When his father tried to persuade him, the suspect suddenly became aggressive and stabbed the victim.

"The bodies of the two individuals have been sent to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ) in Seremban for autopsy, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code," he added.
