Man found stabbed to death after heated argument

PETALING JAYA: A man was stabbed to death following a heated argument with an unknown assailant.

Neighbours who feared for the man's safety called the police after he was not seen two hours after the argument.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Ja'afar said they were alerted to the incident around 1am today.

"A member of the public called the police following the heated argument around 11pm last night."

He said police went to the apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara to investigate following the distress call.

"They found the 36-year-old victim lying motionless in the apartment, with an injury believed to be a stab wound.

"We have classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code," he said, adding that investigations are ongoing.

He urged those with information about the incident to contact the district police headquarters at 03-7966 2222.
