Father leads final prayers for son killed in tragic accident

SUNGAI BULOH: The father of Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident near UiTM Dungun, is preparing to lead the jenazah prayers upon his return from Jeddah.

Ku Azmi Saad and his wife, Hafizah Iszahanid, arrived home in Saujana Utama at 5.15pm today.

The couple appeared composed as they gazed upon their eldest and only son, whose remains were brought back from UiTM Dungun and Masjid An-Nur Saujana Utama.

The parents had flown from Jeddah, departing at 1.55am after arriving to perform their umrah.

In the incident that occurred yesterday, three students from UiTM Dungun lost their lives, and another was severely injured when a Honda CRV SUV, driven by a woman, collided with their motorcycles at 7.20pm.

The driver, a 49-year-old woman believed to be mentally ill, has been remanded for four days starting today.

The victims have been identified as Ku Adib, 20, and Khairil Anuar Jamaluddin, 20, both accounting students, along with Mohd Akhmal Tukirin, 20, a hospitality major.

Their friend, Mohd Ammar Danish Mohd Rodhuan, 20, who suffered severe injuries, is currently receiving treatment at Dungun Hospital and will be transferred to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Kuala Terengganu for further care.

Khairil Anuar's remains are expected to be laid to rest at Ukay Perdana Islamic Cemetery, while Mohd Akhmal will be interred in Muar, Johor.

Ku Adib is anticipated to be laid to rest at Raudhatul A'liyah Saujana Utama Islamic Cemetery.
