SUNGAI BULOH: Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi, the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident near UiTM Dungun, was laid to rest at 6.15pm today.
The eldest and only son in his family, Ku Adib was buried at the Raudhatul A'liyah Saujana Utama Islamic Cemetery, located near his home.
His father, Ku Azmi Saad, performed the jenazah prayers at their residence upon returning from Jeddah.
Ku Azmi and his wife, Hafizah Iszahanid, were en route to perform their umrah when they received the tragic news.
Yesterday, three students from UiTM Dungun lost their lives, and another sustained severe injuries when a Honda CRV SUV, driven by a woman, collided with their two motorcycles at 7.20pm.
The driver, a 49-year-old woman believed to be mentally ill, has been remanded for four days starting today.
The victims were identified as Ku Adib, 20, and Khairil Anuar Jamaluddin, 20, both accounting students, along with Mohd Akhmal Tukirin, 20, a hospitality major.
Their friend, Mohd Ammar Danish Mohd Rodhuan, 20, who suffered serious injuries, is currently receiving treatment at Dungun Hospital and will be transferred to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Kuala Terengganu for further care.
Khairil Anuar's remains were buried at the Ukay Perdana Islamic Cemetery, while Mohd Akhmal was laid to rest in Muar, Johor.
