PUTRAJAYA: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will present a ministerial statement on GlSB Holdings during the upcoming Dewan Rakyat session.
The ministerial statement, Saifuddin says, will focus on police investigations into the company and will be tabled before the 2025 budget on Oct 18, allowing MPs to debate the issue.
"This will give members of parliament a chance to debate the issue," he said in a media briefing held at the ministry today.
This follows a major police operation, Op Global, on Sept 11, where 402 minors, aged one to 17, were rescued from alleged exploitation at 20 welfare homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan linked to GISB.
The total number of children rescued in operations linked to GISB now stands at 625.
The company has denied the allegations.
