KUALA LUMPUR: Continuous heavy rains today morning led to a landslide along Jalan E6 in Taman Melawati, here.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they were notified about the incident at around 11.42am on Tuesday.
"We immediately sent six personnel, a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services vehicle from the Ampang Fire Station to the scene.
"The operations commander conducted a size-up of the affected area and found that a 20meter by 20meter slope had collapsed from a height of 30 meters," he said when contacted today.
He said no casualties occurred in the incident.
"Based on checks in the area, ground movement was still occurring at the affected area.
"The area has been cordoned off for safety reasons," he said.
