KUALA LUMPUR: A lamp post fell onto a Honda Civic on Jalan Sultan Ismail during this evening's heavy downpour.
Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt in the 7.50pm incident.
A Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department spokesman confirmed that the lamp post fell on Jalan Sultan Ismail, near the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.
"We received a distress call at 7.51pm, after which a team of rescuers was dispatched to the scene," he said.
He added that preliminary information obtained from the scene confirmed no casualties were involved in the incident.
"The lamp post struck a Honda Civic, but the driver is reportedly safe," he said.
