KUALA LUMPUR: The Communications Ministry will focus on simplifying the language used in describing government aid programmes announced in the tabling of the 2025 Budget.
Its minister, Fahmi Fadzil, said this was aimed at ensuring that target groups can easily access information and apply for assistance.
"If the target groups are unaware of the programme's existence, that's one thing. Secondly, they also may not know how to apply.
"What we aim to do is to simplify the language about all the aid provided in the 2025 Budget," he said at the Fiesta Deepavali 2024 at IWK Eco Park @ Pantai Dalam today.
To address this, the ministry will leverage the Information Department (Japen) and the Madani Community to make the language of these initiatives more accessible.
Fahmi stressed the importance of creating reference points within communities where applications can be made, ensuring that individuals seeking help can receive adequate support.
Fiesta Deepavali 2024 concluded with the handing out of RM100 vouchers to several families, as part of a programme which includes 1,000 recipients in his constituency, in preparation for the upcoming Deepavali holiday.
