Puspakom offers mobile unit, free vehicle checks at Karnival Jom Heboh

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, Puspakom is set to join Karnival Jom Heboh Carnival, hosted by Media Prima Bhd, from Nov 1 to 3 at Plaza Angsana, Johor Baru.

The initiative aims to bring the public closer to Puspakom's services, offering a hands-on opportunity to understand its role in vehicle safety.

"We invite everyone to visit our social media pages—Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok @puspakomofficial—for more details and to stand a chance to win a free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection (VVI)," Puspakom chief executive office Mahmood Razak Bahman said.

A simple quiz at the carnival could make attendees eligible for this complimentary inspection.

Mahmood also expressed enthusiasm over showcasing Puspakom's Mobile Truck Unit at the event.

"The Mobile Truck Services (MTS) can conduct on-site vehicle inspections and issue valid inspection reports," he explained, adding the MTS is capable of travelling to urban and rural areas as needed.

"Our presence with the mobile unit at Karnival Jom Heboh is part of a new marketing strategy aimed at bringing us closer to the public," Mahmood said, noting that the MTS provides flexibility in locations and service.

This free inspection covers 25 critical checks, including brakes, side-slip, tyres, suspension, emissions, lights and transparency of window tints. The checks will help ensure vehicles meet safety standards.

"We use computerised inspection tools to assess components like brake grip and emission levels, providing the inspection report to the owner as a reference."

He explained that this allows owners to fully understand their vehicle's condition.

In addition to the VVI, Puspakom will offer services such as the Transfer of Ownership Inspection (M.V.15), Hire Purchase Inspection, Expired Road Tax Inspection, and Import Inspections at the carnival.

Puspakom's booth at Karnival Jom Hebih will offer advisory services, insurance offers and quizzes with prizes. The public is invited to attend the event to get a vehicle inspection and engage with Puspakom staff directly.
